Blast the bolted lock with a shotgun
And swing the iron door wide open
Splatter the walls with thick red paint
Let it drool to the floor
Let it pour through creaking boards
And flood the empty drawers
Tear apart every fiber of furnished fabric
Burn the sterile heap into shapeless clouds
Unscrew every hardened hinge
Pry out every crooked nail
Push down every rusting scaffold
And watch the dust dance as they crash and crumble
In the thick of ashy air
Find my body bare
Bound to chair
Untie the shipyard knots roped across my chest
Cast them blindly to the howling wind
Hoist a knife with steady hands
And draw a mark from waist to chin
Raise the blade above your head
With tightened grip on wooden wedge
Pierce my flesh with the razor edge
Slash the core from waist to chin
And draw the drapes of tender skin
And when the guts are drained and dredged
Your arms outstretched
Eyes closed
Deep breath
And dive
Into my viscous pool of mercury
Melt like quicksand to voids unknown
Swim steadfast past splintered bones
Trace the walls with finger brush
Leave no part of me untouched
Search the unlit cavern with your palms
Until you stumble on
My hiding heart
Gently pull away its weary tethers
And there
Floating in my deepest depths
In my broken body
In my hollowed home
Hold it
Hold me
Learn me
And teach me what you find
